The pedagogical novel is a unique genre in French literature, designed for effective language learning through reading. This genre was created by Alla Croix in 2023 so that students could read a full book from the very first lesson.
Before 2023, Alla Croix used children’s books in lessons, but their vocabulary and grammar did not meet the needs of French learners. The pedagogical novel solves this problem by offering an engaging story with a gradual progression of language, allowing students to:
read and understand the text from the very first lesson;
learn grammar and vocabulary naturally;
gradually progress from simple present tense to Subjonctif;
consolidate vocabulary through repetition of key words and expressions;
enjoy learning the language through an exciting story.
The pedagogical novel is a completely new approach to learning French, combining educational goals and the pleasure of reading, created especially for adults and teenagers so that learning is both effective and enjoyable.
